Class size and Adult/Child ratios:

3 day classes are a maximum of 12 children with 1 teacher, 1 assistant teacher and 1 parent helper.

4 day classes and 5 day classes are a maximum of 15 children with 1 teacher, 1 teacher assistant and 1 parent helper.

There is also a floating teacher who takes turns in each classroom and substitutes when teachers are out.

All teachers are experienced and well qualified, with educational backgrounds that range from Associates to Master's Degrees. Staff training is a priority at Red Barn and each year some of our budget is allocated toward this end. Staff turnover is low and teachers are dedicated, talented, and committed to the parent cooperative philosophy.

Our Parent/Toddler class meets on Friday mornings from 9:15-11:15. Children between the ages of 1.9 and 2.9 are invited to attend the class with a parent.

A Red Barn teacher leads the class and it is an ideal introduction to preschool. Our toddlers receive priority enrollment for our preschool program. Please call for more information. *DUE TO SPACE LIMITATIONS, OUR PARENT/TODDLER CLASS WILL NOT BE OFFERED IN FALL, 2010.
